New Data Reveals Healthier Outcomes When You Use Salt Substitutes

A recent article from The George Institute for Global Health (Australia) has shown that dietary salt substitutes in which a proportion of salt (sodium chloride)  is replaced with potassium chloride, lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and death from all causes and cardiovascular disease. A clinical trial using Smart Salt mineral technology, which is at the heart of Suölo®, was included among the gold standard trials that were used as part of their systematic review and meta-analysis

The authors have made a video that summarises their findings and highlights what a difference the adoption of salt substitutes could make in terms of lives saved, globally. The evidence is overwhelming and supports the adoption of salt substitutes in clinical practice and in public health policy to improve public health.

The good news is that you can do something about your salt intake right now by changing to Suölo® to season your food instead of regular salt. Suölo® has 50% less salt and is enriched with potassium and magnesium minerals which are both important for heart health.
